Gifted/HG/HA STEM Magnet

Our Gifted/Highly Gifted/High Ability STEM Magnet is a Project Lead the Way school. Our program also implements Linked Learning, an approach that "integrates rigorous academic courses with career tech classes from Project Lead the Way" (PLTW).

Learning is fun through project-based robotics lessons, the utilization of technology to problem-solve collaboratively and by creating real-world experiences, as well as demonstrating the relevance of content learning in STEM careers. While students identified as Gifted, Highly Gifted or High Ability may apply to this magnet, all students are able to enroll in STEM & PLTW electives if space is available. Our Medicine Health Kinesiology Magnet also offers STEM courses. For more information regarding gifted identification, please visit the LAUSD website: http://achieve.lausd.net/gate
